1. Introduction

Welcome to Serprocket Styler (“the App”), a web application developed and operated by Serprocket. The App analyses users’ writing samples to generate personalised writing style guides that capture their unique tone, vocabulary, and stylistic patterns.

By accessing or using the App, you agree to these Terms of Use (“the Terms”). If you do not agree, you must not use the App.

2. Purpose of the App

The App is designed for individuals who wish to create detailed writing style guides. By submitting at least 10,000 words of your own writing, the App uses artificial intelligence to identify stylistic patterns and generate a comprehensive guide that reflects your voice and tone.

The output is intended for personal and professional use, including the training of custom AI models.

3. Eligibility

You must be at least 18 years of age to use the App. By using it, you confirm that you are legally able to enter into these Terms and that all information you provide is accurate and truthful.

4. Fair and Acceptable Use

You may use the App for lawful purposes only. You agree not to:

  • Use automated tools, bots, or scripts to access or interact with the App.

  • Attempt to bypass rate limits, usage controls, or IP restrictions.

  • Submit text that infringes the rights of others or breaches any applicable law.

  • Engage in activity that could impair, damage, or overload the App or its infrastructure.

  • Create multiple accounts or use disposable emails to circumvent access limits.

The App employs IP-based rate limiting and email gating to ensure fair usage. Each user is entitled to one free analysis. Continued use requires a valid email address. Users who exceed reasonable use levels, or attempt to manipulate the system, may be blocked without notice.

5. Writing Samples and Data Handling

The App processes the text you submit solely to generate your writing style guide. Writing samples are processed in memory and are not permanently stored.

To manage access and maintain performance, the App records:

  • Your IP address (for rate limiting and security).

  • Your email address (for extended access and communication).

  • Usage statistics such as the number and timing of analyses.

This information is stored securely in our database and used only to manage fair use, maintain service integrity, and prevent abuse.

6. Data Storage and Retention

Your email address and IP address are stored for ongoing usage monitoring, access control, and support. We do not share or sell this information to third parties. You may request deletion of your email address and associated data at any time by contacting hello@serprocket.ai.

We reserve the right to retain limited usage records for operational and security purposes, even after data deletion requests.

7. Intellectual Property

You retain full ownership of all writing samples you provide. The generated style guide is your property and may be used freely.

All intellectual property in the App, including its code, design, algorithms, and interfaces, remains the property of Serprocket or its licensors. You must not copy, modify, distribute, or attempt to reverse-engineer any part of the App.

8. Availability and Access

The App is provided on an “as-is” and “as-available” basis. Serprocket reserves the right to suspend, restrict, or discontinue the App at any time, temporarily or permanently, without notice.

Access may be restricted or removed if:

  • Your usage exceeds normal fair use thresholds.

  • Automated or bot activity is detected.

  • Abuse, misuse, or suspicious behaviour is identified.

Whitelisted business IP addresses may have extended or unrestricted access at Serprocket’s discretion.

9. AI Output Disclaimer

The AI-generated outputs are intended for informational and creative purposes only. Serprocket makes no warranty as to the accuracy, completeness, or suitability of the generated style guides. You are responsible for how you use or rely upon any generated content.

10. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Serprocket and its developers accept no liability for any loss, damage, or claim arising from your use of or inability to use the App, including but not limited to indirect or consequential losses.

11. Modifications to the Terms

Serprocket may update these Terms at any time. Any changes will take effect immediately upon publication. Continued use of the App constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.

12. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by and interpreted in accordance with the laws of England and Wales. Any disputes shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.
