See and optimise SEO opportunities.
This section of the site shows you a bucket-load of valuable information about your site.
Striking distance.
Identifies queries where you rank in or just outside the top 10 for a term. It shows you the ranking URL for the term (which you can’t directly get from GSC) and identifies how you might improve your SERP position for the term and the URL.
Why bother? These sorts of queries can deliver new leads if they are optimised correctly.
Possible featured snippets.
Identifies queries where you should (or could) have a featured snippet result. The app suggests what you should do to the content to improve the position.
Why bother? Featured snippets can deliver a lot of conversion-ready traffic.
Keyword conflicts.
Also known as keyword cannibalisation, this is where you have multiple pages of your site ranking for the same query. Serprocket uses GSC data to help identify these and show you where the issues are.
Why bother? Having conflicting keywords in the SERPs can result in being penalised for Bad Doorway spam – finding these means you can canonicalise them correctly to improve your rankings for the query.
Longtail queries.
Where you rank for queries with four or more words.
Why bother? You can turn these pages into long-tail ranking content by improving the URL content.
Local SEO.
Locally focused SEO queries where you rank for location-based terms.
Why bother? Optimise your landing pages for these terms to improve your rankings. Note – don’t overdo this. If you want to rank nationally and then locally, tread carefully and do not over-optimise.
